Early Life and Musical Influences

John Kennedy Oswald was born in Akron, Ohio, in 1964 and later changed his name to John Patrick Oswald. As the youngest of five children, he grew up listening to the Cleveland rock station WMMS and playing drums with his family band. Inspired by his older brother, Eric, a guitarist, Jani Lane began playing drums at the age of six.

Early Music Career

After graduating from Field High School in 1982, Lane briefly joined the band Cyren before moving to Florida in 1983. He played with Dorian Gray and later formed Plain Jane with future Warrant m Janey lane celebrity fit club.
