Belinda Jensen Biography

Belinda Jensen is an American meteorologist who has currently working as a chief meteorologist at KARE 11 News in Minneapolis, Minnesota since 1990. Prior to this, she worked at the National Weather Service in Salt Lake City. She has also worked at KTV an ANB affiliate in Salt Lake City.

Belinda obtained her AMS Seal of Approval from broadcast meteorology and graduated from the University of Wisconsin at Madison with a Bachelor of Science degree in Meteorology.

In addition, she has done graduate work in secondary education through the University of Utah. Belinda enjoys serving her community through involvement in the schools, trying to involve students, particularly girls, in science.

Besides her job, she has become an author, authoring six children’s books about becoming weather savvy and helping kids with weather anxiety. She claims that weather is never boring and the creativity that goes along with is fun.
