Biography of Martha Argerich

Martha Argerich is an Argentine pianist known for her exceptional talent and virtuosity in European classical music. She was born into a family of economists and activists of the socialist movement, Juanita Heller and Juan Manuel Argerich. Her maternal grandparents were Jewish immigrants from Russia who settled in one of the agricultural colonies of Baron de Hirsch and the Jewish Colonization Society in the province of Entre Rios.

Early Life and Musical Education
